that he himself wrote, such as "Si-in ui Maeul (Poet’s Village),"

Joung received MBC's New Singer Award and [a recipient of the]
TBC's Best Lyrics Award (Chotbul) in 1979.

The tours were performed in little theaters in order to fight against the government-imposed policy
of "pre-deliberation on music lyrics. Through these performances Joung and Park could experience direct communication with the masses and increase the awareness that there were serious socio-historical problems and issues that must be dealt with.
歌詞に対する政府及び放送社の事前審議体制からの干渉を受けないために小劇場でのライブを行う

박정희 전두환 체제 이후, 일부 사회적 문제의식이 담긴 노래들을 발표하려 했으나 정부의 사전 검열에 대부분 삭제 당함.
During the administrations of Park Jung Hee and Chun Doo Hwan, Joung and Park attempted to release some songs that would help enable the masses to have a critical mind about various socio-political problems, but they failed to be included in albums because of the government-imposed censorship on music lyrics.
朴正熙、全斗煥体制以降、一部、問題意識を盛り込んだ歌を発表しようとしたが、政府の事前検閲によりほとんどが削除されてしまう

They also held a large-scale outdoor concert to support labor movement
and the national teachers' union. This concert sent out a clear socio-political message.

In 1990, Joung released the controversial "Ah! Daehanminguk . . .(Ah! Korea . . .) album." In this album Joung directly criticized military dictatorship and conservative ruling class. This album contains songs such as "Ireonara Yeolsa yeo (Rise, Patriots!), "Wurideul ui Jugeum (Our Death).”

권력이 군부에서 자본으로 이양되고, 유사 민주주의로 투쟁이 종식된 상황에 대한 절망감과 새로운 희망 찾기의 메시지
In 1993, Joung and Park released their new album, "92 nyeon Jangma, Jongno Eseo (At Jongno, <during> the Rainy Season of the Year 1992). This album was messages of frustration at the situation where power had been transferred from the military dictatorship to capital, and where the struggle had come to an end due to the emergence of fake democracy, and of trying to find new hope.

이 두 앨범을 법률에 의한 사전 심의(사실상의 겸열)를 거부하고 불법으로 출시

90년과 93년 2차례의 기자회견을 통해 정부에 검열제 철폐 요구.
93년, 정부가 고발, 기소, 재판.
6년 여의 검열 철폐 투쟁 전개.
Joung and Park released the 2 albums above without complying with the policy of pre-deliberation (de facto censorship). He demanded lifting of the government's pre-deliberation process by having two press conferences in 1990 and in 1993. In 1993 the government pressed charges against Joung and Park for violating pre-deliberation [process] regulations. Joung and Park’s struggle against censorship lasted over 6 years.
この二つのアルバムを法律による事前審議（事実上の検閲）を拒否して、不法で販売（運動陣営に配布、巡回コンサート、サイン販売）
90年及び93年、2度の記者会見を通して政府に検閲制の撤廃を要求
93年、政府からの告発起訴による裁判など、6年余りにわたり検閲撤廃闘争展開

국회의 관련법 개정과 헌법재판소의 “검열제 위헌” 판결 / 가요에 대한 사전 검열제 철폐
이에 따라 두 앨범 시중에 합법 판매 ([한국음반])
In 1996 the Constitutional Court in Korea found that rules and regulations concerning 'the policy of pre-deliberation' were unconstitutional. Following the ruling, the government abolished 'the policy of pre-deliberation.' Henceforth,
Joung and Park's 2 albums above could be sold in public legally now. ([Hangook Record Co.])
1996. 6 法改定と憲法裁判所からの「検閲制の憲法違反」の判決、以後、歌謡に対する事前検閲制が撤廃される/これに伴い、上記の二つのアルバムを合法的に市販（[韓国音盤]）

Joung and Park held the joint concert “Jayu (Freedom)” at the Seoul National University Amphitheater in June of 1996 to celebrate the abolition of pre-deliberation.

From 1999 to 2000 Joung and Park went on numerous concert tours around Seoul and other parts of Korea, performing such songs as “Saranghaneun I-e-ge (To My Beloved),” “Geoneoganda (Crossing over),” “Bombaram Kkotnorae (Spring Breeze Flower Song),” and “Dasi, Cheot Chareul Gidarimyeo (Again, Waiting for the First Train).”

(주민, 평화운동가, 문화예술인 등 총 800여 명 이상 입건되어 재판 받았고, 유죄 판결.
도두리, 대추리 주민들 모두 쫓겨나고 마을이 철거되면서 4년 여의 투쟁은 종료되었다.)

Other Activities /
From 1979 to 1993 Joung and Park were invited by various university student bodies to perform at their universities
all over Korea. Since 1991 Jung and Park have made regular appearances in the concert 'A Night of Poetry and Songs for Prisoners of Conscience’ sponsored by the Family Council for the Democratization of Korea.
They have also actively participated in concerts for issues regarding democracy, labor and the reunification of Korea.
